Well it's that time of year again. Everyone is sitting around waiting for the end of the year - taking their unused vacation time before they lose it, waiting for the end of the year bonus or just hoping for a fresh start in the new year.

Here are some important things to think about when starting, or thinking about the possibility of looking for a new job in the new year.

  1. Re-examine what's really important to you right now

  2. Reconnect with old friends and make new ones

  3. Learn a new skill

  4. Pay attention to the local and national job market
