2. Update your materials (resume / portfolio)
3. Refresh your skills (workshops / certifications / bootcamps)
4. Get active on social sites (LinkedIn)
5. Call on your network and make new connections (friends, family, past co-worker)
6. Look at all of your options (be flexible to change)
7. Practice and prepare (work with a coach)
8. Talk about your gap years (explain it on your resume - be proud)
9. Be patient and persistent (its going to take time)
