Remote workers in fear of layoffs

Those who work remotely are more concerned than their in-office peers about being laid off,according to a study conducted by Momentive for CNBC. Remote workers are also less confident in their ability to find another job quickly, the study found. “Remote workers are the most fearful of layoffs because they know they have had a sweet deal," Momentive's senior manager of research science said, adding that a weakened economy gives employers the upper hand in the remote vs. in-office debate.
